By 2004 Madrid will have an airport capable of handling 70 million passengers each year. The terminal and the new satellite buildings will be linked by new automatic systems for transporting passengers and baggage which will move through an airport service tunnel that will be 2272m in length. Fibro Laser II will be installed for fire detection in this three-tube service tunnel.
